Labour Weekend 2025
The Okaihau and District Schools 150 Year Reunion will be held over Labour Weekend 2025 (from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon), and will be open to former students and staff from a number of local schools. The list of those included is below.

Friday 24 October 2025
2.00pm – 4.00pm Powhiri (Okaihau College)
6.00pm – 10.00pm Mix and Mingle (Okaihau College)
Saturday 25 October 2025
9.00am – 12.00pm School visits
(Okaihau Primary School, Okaihau College, Umawera School,
Horeke School and Mangamuka School).
5.00pm – 9.00pm Street Party (Okaihau College)
Sunday 26 October 2025
9.00am – 12.00pm Church Service / Tree planting / Brunch / Closing
(Whakarongorua Marae, Okaihau College)
The Friday night Mix and Mingle includes a goodie bag, and platters / food throughout the evening. The Saturday night Street Party will have a variety of street food vendors from which you can purchase food. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase on both nights.
Please note that registration for Friday night and Saturday night has closed.
There will be very limited door sales on Saturday night.
